It’s a shame to obsess over the loss of something so much that you stop embodying the elements of yourself that helped you win it in the first place.
(no so) Clearly talking about relationships/friendships there. If you lose out on one, and we all do, that’s fine. Because we all do! It’s usually not all one person’s fault, but even when it is that doesn’t make you worthless and thinking that it does, even slightly, opens you up to a kind of bitterness and self-pity that will consume you. Buck up, and remember that you were beautiful enough, smart enough, attentive enough to even attract that friend or lover in the first place. Revisit your best self, and improve even more for yourself and the others.
